Shifts in demographics, perceptions of work and personal values as well as advancing technology are all factors changing the nature, availability and skills of America's workforce. As the northwest region business services coordinator for the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment, I serve the very economic and culturally diverse region of Rio Blanco, Moffat, Routt, Grand and Jackson counties, working to help businesses adapt to a new workforce paradigm. I'm interested in innovative ways to rejuvenate and grow rural economies as well as enhancing people's understanding of the challenges and opportunities in rural Colorado.
